What Is My Purpose
In the summer of 2022, MCRC spent one Sunday a month for an outdoor service exploring more about our purpose. We hope you’re challenged and encouraged by that series of messages and we welcome you to bring a lawn chair and join us for this summer’s outdoor service series!
What Is My Purpose In Life?
Overview: Everyone seems to have a sense that there is a purpose for our lives. This would mean we are not mistakes. Logically then, if we were created with purpose, then the only place to look for that purpose is from the creator. The starting point makes all the difference.
Food: Hotdogs/Hamburgers
Games: Archery Tag, Bounce House
EVERYTHING Is A Danger To Purpose
Overview: There is a drive to be independent of others. We seem to want to be good at everything and be involved in everything. Yet purpose is found in our uniqueness not our commonalities.
Food: Fish Fry
Games: Water Slide & Balloon Toss
Failures Focus Purpose
Overview: We have been created to become like Christ. Life is a process, a journey. Our past, our failures, our successes, etc. are what opens doors for us in our unique purpose. Our failures don't limit us, they open doors for us in Christ.
Food: Hotdogs/Hamburgers
Games: Craft Day
There's No “I” In Purpose
Overview: Purpose is found in Community, not isolation. When our goals, motives, energy, and investments become about me, purpose is lost in its wake. Purpose is about serving not preserving.
Food: Smoked Meat
Games: Activities: Yard Games, Bounce House Obstacle Course, and Slip ‘n Slide Kickball (weather permitting)
Purpose Creates Legacy
Overview: Purpose is truly experienced when we pass on this amazing value we experience from God to others. We have been created for mission. True purpose is always found in sacrificing for others in our areas of influence and uniqueness. In a sense, when we experience purpose in our lives, we are leaving a legacy of purpose in other's lives.
Food: Wiener Wagon
Games: Inflatable Obstacle Course & Climbing Wall
